Clinton Portis expects to be cut this off season

Photo courtesy of Redskins BlogThe Washington Post is reporting that Redskins' running back Clinton Portis believes his time in Washington is coming to an end.

In an interview during a team charity event earlier this week, Portis speculated that he thinks team owner Dan Snyder will let him go this off season as part of a number of changes that are expected to be made in an effort to halt the team's current losing ways.

"I would love to come back to this team, but that choice isn't mine" said Portis, adding that he thought he would have been activated for the Week 14 game against Oakland.

The team opted instead to place him on the injured reserve list, effectively ending his season.

On a side note: During his weekly John Thompson radio show appearance, Portis was asked about the recent Tiger Woods controversy and had some advice for the star:

"I say don’t get married, if it’s not out of your system. I’m not married.... If I find the temptation worth fulfilling, I'm gonna fulfill my temptation... I’m 28 years old, and I’m gonna enjoy my life."
